David Honeycutt began his career in construction in 1993, building houses in Raleigh and carrying around a small yellow notebook to document his process. In 1995, David moved to Wilmington and into the site work side of the industry. After two decades of honing his skills, he decided it was time to move on and begin his own site work company, so he and his wife, Sara, started Honeycutt Construction Services in two spare rooms of their investor’s office. 

Ten years later and Honeycutt Construction Services has expanded to have two offices serving the Carolinas, a fleet of reliable equipment and, most importantly, long-lasting employee and client relationships. Honeycutt’s original foremen are the people leading the company today, often in projects for the clients who put them in business in the first place. 

Honeycutt Construction Services’ growth and success comes from relationships forged – and even today, David talks to every person who comes through the door, still carrying his yellow notebook.
